Sara Padilla LPC
Education
Sara is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and graduated from California State University of Bakersfield with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with advanced course in major counseling theories, research, law and ethics, social and cultural foundations, and human development. Sara has diverse mental health experience providing mental health services through direct clinical care for adults, families, and children. Sara has served clients of all ages in multiple program settings including residential care, intensive outpatient care, therapeutic foster care, and an outpatient level of care. Sara has provided treatment for several diverse mental health illnesses, ranging in presentation. Some areas of focus include depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, adjustment issues, loss, grief, and developmental disorders.

Theoretical Orientation
Sara primarily utilizes an Attachment-based approach in treatment sessions and integrates Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, strength-based, and collaborative techniques to address treatment needs based on the presenting problem. With an attachment-based approach, Sara maintains that individuals, families, and couples have the ability to develop skills to effectively communicate, manage their mental health symptoms, identify their own individualized needs, and develop healthier and supportive relationships with themselves and those around them. Goals of treatment are collaboratively established with the client.
