Awards and Recognition
Achievements in Excellence designation
Western is committed to providing mental health services that promote positive outcomes.
In 2016, Western was identified as an Achievements in Clinical Excellence clinic by Optum, that organization that manages behavioral health benefits for both United and Providence Health Plans. This award is only given to clinics who demonstrate consistently strong results on Optum's well-established outcomes system. The award reflects "outstanding work" for "both effective and efficient care" as indicated by Optum. This reflects Western's high value in achieving positive outcomes for people seeking our care.
Lambert Award
Western has been recognized over the years for its commitment to achieving positive outcomes. In 2002, 2003 and 2004, the health plan PacifiCare awarded its Lambert Award to providers who demonstrated superior therapeutic outcomes based upon a rigorous evaluation of client results.
The Lambert Award is named in honor of Michael Lambert, Ph.D., for his landmark work in the area of psychotherapy outcomes research. Said the plan's Vice President of Clinical Operations, "the Lambert Award is our way of publicly recognizing those who not only champion the value of measuring clinical progress, but also have achieved superior clinical results with their patients".
Certificate of Approval
For nearly two decades, Western has been certified by the Oregon Health Authority for providing outpatient mental health and chemical dependency services. The Certificate is posted at Western sites. This Certificate ensures that Western meets the requirements and quality as outlined by Oregon Administrative Rules.
