For decades, Western Psychological & Counseling Services has been promoting positive outcomes in the community. Our Autism Program utilizes evidence-based practices for treating Autism, creating meaningful change for families.

Western's Autism services include:

Diagnostic Evaluations: Due to autism test measures needing to be administered face-to-face, testing for autism is currently on hold.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy): Learn more about our ABA program by clicking here.

Outpatient Mental Health: Mental health services can often help children/teens learn to manage and communicate emotions, build on social skills, and deal with co-morbid anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavior problems. Check out our Staff Directory to identify clinicians who serve children and families affected by autism.

Virtual Visits and Patient Portal

Virtual visits occur over the internet in the comfort and safety of your own home. You can access the program with a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

LifeStance Health utilizes a HIPAA-compliant, secure application to conduct sessions over the internet. Click here for more information on how to do a virtual visit.

To connect to a visit, find your clinician in our Staff Directory and click on the button for Virtual Visit. This will place you in the waiting room for your clinician.

We should note that many health plans have approved the use of a phone during this public health emergency, as well. This is an option if it is not possible to make a video connection.

How Do I Start?

For ABA Services at our Tualatin clinic or Diagnostic Testing, please contact our Referral Coordinator at 503-612-1000, extension 1001.

If you have an appointment with us for our ABA Program (Early Intervention or Intensive Behavior Unit) at our Tualatin location, please review our Welcome Packet for more information and forms to complete prior to the first appointment.

For Outpatient Mental Health or Social Skills Groups, use our Advanced Practitioner search to find a clinician who treats Autism at a location convenient for you. Contact that location to get services started.

If you are a referring provider, please complete our Referral Form.
