Kate has a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University with advanced coursework in human development, major counseling theories, biological and cognitive foundations, social and systems approaches, psychological assessment, research methods, professional orientation and ethics, group and family dynamics, cultural foundations, career counseling, diagnosis and interprofessional care.

Kate believes in providing client centered, trauma informed and compassionate care that primarily employs use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Collaborative Problem Solving. Her treatment places emphasis on building positive, consistent, and supportive therapeutic relationships with children, teens, and parents in order to build trust. Working along side clients she helps promote positive changes in their lives, strengthening confidence, building awareness and acceptance, and improving lasting relationships to reach greater levels of success and a more meaningful state of life satisfaction.

Kate spends most of her free time backpacking, camping, hiking and kayaking in the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and above all else spending time with family, friends and pets.
