Valerie Providenza LCSW
Education
Valerie obtained her Master of Social Work degree at Boston College. Her previous work experience includes working at a VA hospital with Veterans, in community mental health, and within hospital systems providing inpatient and outpatient services. She specializes in working with adults and older adults. Valerie is experienced in working with clients (or loved ones of clients) diagnosed with Dementia and cognitive changes. Valerie enjoys helping clients overcome clutter and hoarding behaviors.

Valerie supports clients through a strengths-based, client centered approach. While she tailors her clinical work to each client's needs, she primarily uses Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. Her approach aims to empower clients while promoting their personal growth, resilience, and ability to successfully manage life's changes and challenges.
