Valerie Providenza LCSW
Valerie obtained her Master of Social Work degree at Boston College. Her previous work experience includes working at a VA hospital with Veterans, in community mental health, and within hospital systems providing inpatient and outpatient services. She specializes in working with adults and older adults. She is experienced in working with clients diagnosed with Dementia and cognitive changes. Valerie also enjoys helping clients overcome clutter and hoarding behaviors, offering both individual and group therapy services specific to this issue.
Individual and Group Therapy
Valerie supports clients through a strengths-based, client centered approach. While she tailors her clinical work to each client's needs, she primarily uses Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy. Her approach aims to empower clients while promoting their personal growth, resilience, and ability to successfully manage life's changes and challenges.
In her free time, Valerie enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
