Sonja Crisosto is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon who has been practicing since 2016. She has a BS in Child and Family Studies and a Master’s of Social Work. Sonja identifies as a ciswoman, Chicana, complex trauma survivor, and queer. Sonja specializes in working with BIPoC , and LGBTQIA+ populations and issues specific to these communities. Sonja offers a collaborative and sometimes curious approach with others as she will work with you to understand emotional and behavioral patterns that have developed in your life. Her approach includes using trauma informed practices and perspectives drawing from components of several different models and theories. Some of those models and theories include CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, Attachment Theory based interventions, Mindfulness based interventions. Sonja believes we all have skills that can be expanded and adjusted to better meet our growing and changing self and needs.
