Shawn's primary interest is working with adult individuals who are struggling with major life changes such as the death of a loved one, divorce or breakup, relocation/retirement and loneliness, major illness or injury, parenting issues or job loss. Unexpected losses, events or challenging situations are part of all our lives and can cause significant stress. A single stressful event may trigger depression or anxiety at any point in life, even many years later. Shawn uses systems theory, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy to provide a safe and compassionate space for you to explore and work toward finding a healthy balance in your perspective of yourself and in your relationships.
