Ryan Wilcox LMFT
Education
Ryan received his Bachelors of Science degree from Brigham Young University with the major of Marriage, Family, and Human Development and a minor in Psychology. He received my Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech with the thesis topic of "Adolescents and Adaptation: The Experience of Youth in Military Families Experiencing Parental Deployment." Ryan became a licensed marriage and family therapist in 2010. He has published research and presented at professional conferences in the area adolescents and adjustment. Ryan's experience includes seven years counseling at various family agencies seeing a wide range of clients.
Services Offered
Ryan sees couples in conflict, pre-marital couples therapy, individuals dealing with depression and anxiety, children, adolescents, and families in crisis. He also specializes in faith transitions, self-development, family of origin issues, relationships and life transitions, stress management.
Theoretical Orientation
Ryan is primarily a solution focused therapist but also uses many tools found in cognitive behavioral therapy, Gottman couples therapy, Structural/Strateigic family therapy, child play therapy, and narrative therapy.

I love spending time with my family and am an avid photographer. I enjoy watching independent movies, listening to music, and playing guitar. I also have been in various rock bands throughout my life.
