Theoretical Orientation
Ross sees counseling as a collaborative process in which he works with clients to find new strategies, new perspectives and ways of moving forward through difficult situations. In therapy, his focus is on the relationships we foster, both with important supports in our lives and with ourselves. His approach to counseling is eclectic. Based on his belief that children and families do the best they can with the skills and knowledge they have, he utilizes strategies from collaborative problem solving and cognitive behavioral therapy to broaden those skills and abilities.
