Education
Dr. Pike has a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University where she focused on the integration of Christianity and psychology in addition to the traditional graduate level psychology courses. Dr. Pike completed integrative courses and theological courses in addition to psychology courses to prepare her to serve religious populations. Dr. Pike was also prepared with other types of courses such as psychometric and testing courses, courses on major counseling theories, cross cultural experiences, learning, substance abuse. Dr. Pike spent approximately the next 8 years working in largely rural communities where there was a demand for her integrative degree. For the following 10 years, Dr. Pike worked in various military settings where she largely used non-integrative approaches. She most recently focused on treating PTSD, depression, anxiety, SUDs, panic disorder.

Theoretical Orientation
Foundationally speaking, Dr. Pike's theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She believes that it has the most effective skills and tools to help clients be able to change for the majority of client issues. However, Dr. Pike acknowledges that not all of the evidence based therapies are CBT oriented and that it is important to defer to the science when there is a better approach.
