Montana Thorner is a Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon who has been practicing since 2021. She has a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Oregon and a Master’s in Applied Psychological Science from Pacific University. In her work with her clients, Montana works with the following core belief; all individuals possess strengths that have helped them persist and persevere through various life circumstances. Individuals may struggle at identifying those strengths and understanding how to fully utilize them to accomplish the most beneficial results. What Montana does, is she acts as a facilitator to help individuals identify and strengthen those areas in order to promote change and self-efficacy. She also helps individuals identify areas of struggle they wish to become strengths, emphasizing the idea of growth. With that core belief, Montana integrates various approaches to best support her clients in achieving their goals, such as CBT and DBT. During her free time, Montana enjoys getting the chance to enjoy her favorite shows (i.e. Ted Lasso, Parks and Recreation, Bluey, etc.), window shopping various stores either online or at the mall, connecting with her friends and family, and snuggling with her cats Cooper and Bunny.
Montana is working under the supervision of Sara Padilla, LPC.
