Education
Michelle obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University Northridge with a double major in Psychology and Deaf Studies (ASL Interpreting). Michelle began working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) during undergrad and fell in love with ABA. She went on to complete her Masters of Arts in Behavioral Clinical Psychology, at California State University, Northridge. During her masters Michelle completed 1500 hours of practicum ABA experience under Dr. Tara Fahmie and completed research in Dr. Fahmie's lab, Taking Steps Together. After graduating Michelle worked at The Shabani Institute in California with individuals with severe behavior problems. While living in California Michelle has had the privilege of presenting her research and clinical work at California's state ABA conference (Cal ABA). Michelle is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst through the Oregon Health Licensing Board. Michelle is the Autism Program Director and Clinical Supervisor.
Services Offered
Intensive 1:1 and 2:1 ABA therapy for those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders. Michelle specializes in working with individuals with intense behavior problems including aggression and self injurious behavior.
Theoretical Orientation
Michelle conducts ABA therapy which uses evidence based intervention to help those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Treatment includes: Functional Communication Training, Differential Reinforcement, Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and Social Skills Training.
