Melissa graduated from George Fox University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health. Notable coursework includes: Treating the Continuum of Attachment Difficulties, Impact of Complex Trauma, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders: A Brain-based Approach, Treatment of Negative Body Image, Family Therapy in the Treatment of Eating Disorders, Human Growth and Development, and Interpersonal Neurobiology and Pharmacology. She also holds a certification in Foster and Adoptive Family Therapy from Portland State University. Melissa has extensive experience working with children, adults, and families in a variety of settings including primary care, schools, residential, and intensive-outpatient settings. She is particularly interested in supporting individuals and families through issues including eating disorder recovery, body image & self-esteem, pregnancy, infant loss, adoption, foster care, and family transitions.
