Education
Meg has a Master's Degree (Ed.M) from Washington State University in Counseling Psychology (2001). She has 14 years experience in mental health and is a Child Mental Health Specialist. Meg has worked for 7 years in a community mental health agency serving families, children and adults. She has also volunteered as a Victim's Advocate providing support for traumatized children and their families. This allowed Meg to obtain additional, specialized training for victims of abuse. She has spent the last 7 years working as a Designated Mental Health Professional providing assessments and support for individuals in crisis.
Services Offered
Meg provides counseling for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. When working with children she provides care for the entire family, and believe that parents are central to the process.
Theoretical Orientation
Meg believes in working with families to facilitate change and improve relationships. She utilizes techniques from Family Systems Theories, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy and Positive Psychology. She also enjoys using Christian counseling techniques including Catholic spirituality for those interested in this type of intervention.
