Mary has a Masters in Social Work and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Georgia. Mary has experience working as a therapist in residential programming, community mental health, and providing psychiatry assessments in hospital emergency rooms.
Mary Bills is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 5 years of experience. She is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and often utilizes motivational interviewing and solution focused therapy in her work with clients as well. Mary works with teens and young adults in the School-based program, and sees all ages in the Integrated Behavioral Health program at North West Primary Care. Mary believes that the therapeutic alliance is essential to effective treatment, so she greatly values her connection with clients! Mary utilizes dialectical thinking, validation, and skills training to help clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and mood instability.
In her spare time, Mary enjoys reading, baking, traveling, University of Georgia football, and sunny fall afternoons!
