Kristen Francis is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon who started practicing in 2016. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Minor in Psychology from Marylhurst University and a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in MFT, Professional Clinical Counseling and Depth Psych from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Kristen believes that all people strive towards wholeness and wellbeing throughout their lives, and that difficulties and challenges, however painful, can become opportunities to gain a deeper sense of self-understanding and to grow as a person. She feels a therapeutic relationship that is compassionate, in which the client feels heard and understood, supports this process. Her treatment approach is catered to each client, and loves working with people going through stage of life transitions such as college students, new mothers or new fathers, and mid-life changes such as empty nesting. As someone who has worked as a crisis clinician in the community, Kristen works really well with first responders. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys trail running, Zumba, long walks/hikes in nature with her dog, indoor gardening, painting, music, photography, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
