Licensed Clinical Social Worker 2009, Master's in Social Work from Portland State University (PSU) 2006. Also certified in drug and alcohol counseling. Over 10 years experience working with children and adolescents experiencing difficulties in day treatment and psychiatric residential treatment programs. Prior experience includes therapy and related responsibilities, and also management of treatment programs. At WPCS since 2010, serving adults and adolescents/pre-teens.

Individual therapy for adults. Also serving youth typically ages 10-17.
Theoretical Orientation
With adults, Kim uses a client-centered focus that can include cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, behavioral activation, relaxation, psychoeducation, dialectical behavioral, solution-focused strategies that enhance a client's life. With youth, there is collaboration with family, schools and pediatricians utilizing collaborative problem-solving, behavioral activation, family systems, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, play therapy, and strength-based techniques while respecting the values of the family.

Kim especially enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She also values her friendships and enjoys sharing motherhood with a few of them. She enjoys walks in nature or even on the treadmill, exploring with her kids, and has fun photographing special moments.
