Education
Jonathan is a licensed Psychologist in the State of Washington. He earned his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from the University of Alabama in 2002, Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology in 2006 and Doctor of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. Jonathan has worked with male and female adults and adolescents in the following settings: community mental health centers, college counseling center, mental health court, youth corrections, outpatient private practice, and adult corrections.

Theoretical Orientation
Jonathan uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, and education of clients to assist people in developing further insight, applying healthy changes in their lives, and resolving conflicting feelings. By working collaboratively with his clients, the focus can be on identifying needed areas of improvement. Jonathan works with his clients to improve the quality of their lives and to reduce the severity of mental health symptoms. He believes in building upon the strengths of his clients and improving areas of weakness. In particular, Jonathan focuses on improving: concentration, the ability to handle emotional distress, understanding how emotions work and developing better control of them, and learning to be a better problem-solver, conflict-negotiator, and decision-maker.
