Education
Jeff has a Bachelors of Science in Sociology with a Minor in Business from the University of Oregon and a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Northwest Christian University (now Bushnell University). Jeff is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Oregon. He spent the first 7 years of his career working under a licensed psychologist in private practice doing community focused treatment involving the justice system, in 2017 he switched to a more general community mental health setting when transitioning from Eugene to Wilsonville, working at Yamhill County Adult Behavioral Health for over a year before transitioning to recovery-focused community mental health model with Bridgeway Recovery Services, where he practiced as a co-occurring therapist from 2019-2021. Jeff has over a decade of experience working with diverse populations, including having worked as a community based provider for vulnerable adults.
Services Offered
Jeff has extensive experience as an individual therapist for a wide variety of populations. He also acted as facilitator and co-facilitator for therapy groups including but not limited to process groups, DBT, and recovery focused therapy. Jeff enjoys couples and family therapy, and always appreciates when clients are able to integrate support persons into their treatment experience.
Theoretical Orientation
Jeff considers himself first and foremost a person-centered treatment provider. Treatment with Jeff is structured through the beliefs, motivations, and individual historical experience of his clients. Within this framework he utilizes a variety of orientations depending on needs and preferences of clients, including: CBT, DBT, narrative therapy with an ACT focus, Motivational Interviewing, and various strength-based formats for trauma resolution with focus on empowerment and self-authorship.

Jeff is passionate about physical health and wellbeing. He is highly focused on expanding, utilizing, and promoting the most contemporary knowledge on nutritional wellness and exercise and performance. He personally enjoys resistance training of many types, cardiovascular exercise on his peloton, and yoga. He is an avid hiker and lover of the outdoors. He and his wife are proud to be dedicated parents of many dogs. Jeff is always looking to engage content that expands his awareness with specific focus on neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, philosophy, and sociocultural issues. Some hobbies include being an avid moviegoer, reader of fantasy novels, and all around junkie for comic book, science fiction, and mythological lore.
