Janet earned a Certification in Interpersonal Neurobiology from Portland Community College. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington.

Janet takes an integrative approach to counseling with her clients. She utilizes theoretical approaches such as Humanistic Psychology, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, while being greatly influenced by Interpersonal Neurobiology, the Internal Family Systems model and Attachment Theory.

I am an individual adult therapist licensed in Washington with over 10 years of experience working as a mental health counselor. I have work with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, childhood emotional neglect, relationship struggles, grief/loss, identity and self esteem issues, and navigating life with chronic shame. I also enjoy working with females who struggle with hormonal imbalance and/or peri menopause and menopause symptoms that can cause relationship struggles and work disruption. I place a strong focus on relationships and our attachments with one another. I also focus on the mind and helping you gain awareness of your thoughts, and their impact on your feelings and actions. I help individuals to gain a greater connect to their emotions, finding ways to honor them and manage their impact on one's life. I am a warm, empathetic individual who is thoughtful and creative in my approach working with clients.
