Heidi Alsop MA, LPC
BS in psychology from Brigham Young University.
MA in counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.
4.5 years experience working in the Secure Adolescent Inpatient Program and Secure Child Inpatient Program for Trillium Family Services in Corvallis and Portland.
I feel most drawn to existential psychotherapy and psychodynamic theories because they provide an excellent framework for understanding and processing attachment difficulties, complex trauma, childhood trauma, religious trauma, and faith transitions. I am also certified to work with adoptive children and families, including transracial adoptees, and in Therapeutic Life Story Work. I have additional training and experience in DBT, CBT, and Collaborative Problem Solving.
I enjoy reading, knitting, paper crafting, travel, cooking, and playing the piano.
