Theoretical Orientation
My therapeutic approach to therapy is based upon Family Systems Theory, which emphasizes and focuses on the family unit and how members are connected and dependent on one another. I utilize evidence based practices with therapy meaning that the interventions I use are based on successful research outcomes. The most commonly used interventions I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT0, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).
