Education
Masters Degree in Counseling from North American Baptist Seminary. Over 25 years in the mental health field with experience and training in a variety of settings including: counseling clinic, inpatient psychiatric unit, out patient case management for clients with serious and chronic mental illness, community mental health center, adolescent residential treatment and crisis work as a Designated Mental Health Professional for the state of WA.

Don offers counseling for teenagers and adults as well as couples and families. Issues he can address include: depression, anxiety, mood disorders, Bipolar/mood swings, PTSD (men and women), low self-esteem, stress management, anger management, crisis interventions, couples and families. Don also has extensive experience with supporting clients and families dealing with serious mental illnesses.

Don wants to provide the tools you need to live a healthier and happier life. He is interested in working together for lasting, positive change. His focus is helping you get unstuck from self-sabotaging habits and learn how to take control of your thoughts, emotions and behaviors.
Don's approach is informed by evidenced based treatments including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Personal Psychology, Spiritual Counseling, Trauma Focused Therapy, Family Therapy, Developmental psychology, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy as well as new developments and approaches in psychology.
