Theoretical Orientation
Mr. Grushkin's primary goal is to help clients feel better and function better in their here-and-now, day-to-day life. His orientation is toward changing thinking patterns, beliefs and behaviors that are not helpful, and toward having more mindful awareness in daily life. He has an interactive practical problem-solving approach, which includes training in skills for calming the mind and body, and for increasing in-the-moment awareness. Mr. Grushkin believes that in a calm body and clear mind, non-helpful, or harmful, moods and thoughts are less able to control your life.
