Andrea Tomoe MA, LPC Intern
I have a Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health and a Bachelor's degree in communication. While working on my master's, I became a registered yoga teacher and I have taught for over five years. Before graduate school, I worked for many years in production, and have a background in television and art direction.
I am passionate about serving all individuals who wish seek guidance, a place to be vulnerable and the opportunity to grow. I provide therapy for men, women, and LGBTQ individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, body image and eating disorders, or significant life changes, such as a career switch or a relationship shift. I work with teens, emerging adults and adult clients of any population.
Just as many pieces make up the whole of a person's life, there are many components make up a successful experience with counseling. The therapeutic journey begins from a place of trust and support. My techniques come from a combination of Solutions Focused, DBT, Family Systems and movement therapy. In addition, I offer all of my clients the opportunity to do Yoga as part of their therapeutic journey. Not every individual may need all of these modalities, and I want to mold our therapeutic relationship based on what is best for you, my client.
In my free time, I enjoy going to music shows, seeing films, cooking food, taking care of dog daughter, and snowboarding my way through the Oregon winters.
