She has worked in private practice and university counseling settings and has extensive experience assisting adults with trauma reconciliation, disability and chronic illness, grief and loss, multicultural counseling, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and building healthy and satisfying relationships. In addition, she has experience conducting psychological assessment.

Allison practices from a Gestalt therapy orientation which is humanistic, holistic, and experiential. She approaches therapy collaboratively, with the assumption that you are the expert of your experiences and the psychotherapist is a guide toward increasing awareness and insight regarding how to make effective changes in your life. Psychotherapy is a powerful tool for achieving relief from symptoms and increasing self-understanding. Allison's approach is warm, direct, and often infused with humor. Allison enjoys working with adults from a variety of backgrounds, identities, and phases of life. She strives to be aware of how her identity and experiences impact the therapy relationship.
