Theoretical Orientation
Creating a trusting and safe environment free of judgment is my first consideration. I use a psychodynamic approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy . A psychodynamic approach is useful in identifying the origins of patterns of thought/behavior in our lives that may be underlying challenges in our current life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy assists us in understanding how our thoughts drive our feelings and actions. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy also provides useful tools for creating most positive outcomes in our lives. I work in a collaborative manner with clients and provide homework for a continuation of the work between sessions.
