Theoretical Orientation
I collaborate with my clients to decide what is important for them to change in their lives. I help clients practice acceptance of things they cannot control and strengthen the skills needed to improve the things that they can control. I help my clients change the ways in which they interpret the world that lead to unnecessary suffering and take control of their lives through deliberate, purposeful action that is guided by personal values. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) greatly inform my therapy practice.

I believe self-care is an important component of being an effective therapist. Therefore, I enjoy rock climbing, practicing yoga, playing tennis, running, reading, and being in nature in my leisure time.
