Education
Tess is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADCI). She obtained her BS in psychology from Towson University in MD, and her MSW from Rutgers University in NJ. In the past few years, Tess has specialized in working with the Native American population.

Tess believes that it is important to feel connected and her goal is to make sure that clients have a safe place to come for support.
She provides culturally competent therapy and utilizes an integrative, holistic, collaborative approach. By blending elements from different approaches, treatment is tailored according to each individual client’s needs. Tess is rooted in humanistic therapy, which is a client-centered approach that emphasizes unconditional acceptance.
She also utilizes the following therapeutic techniques: Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Originally from New Jersey, Tess moved to Oregon in 2015 to explore life on the West coast and to broaden her experiences. She believes that interpersonal relationships are important both in and outside of her work. When she’s not at work, Tess enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially while travelling, camping, or on weekend trips to the coast. She also loves to cook as well as try out new restaurants.
