Shelly Nicol PsyD
Shelly earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her Psy.D. from Pacific University School of Professional Psychology.
Individual and Group Therapy.
Shelly practices from a Gestalt orientation, which is a humanistic, holistic, and phenomenological approach. She believes that symptoms diminish with increased awareness, reconnecting with forgotten parts of the self, and increasing meaningful contact with self/others/environment in order to get our needs met. Shelly's specialty area is working with the transgender community, and she has a strong overall interest in social justice issues and advocacy for minority populations.
I enjoy bouldering, yoga, reading, being near the ocean, and seeing live music.
