Education
Sarah has a Master's of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. While at Santa Clara University, Sarah's educational emphasis was focused on Health Psychology. Other notable coursework included family therapy, group therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, assessment/diagnosis, developmental psychology, and cultural competency courses. After completing school, Sarah's work has been predominately focused on working with teenagers and their families. A lot of her training has been centered around treating trauma, addressing high risk behaviors, combating school refusal, and improving family dynamics. Sarah has over six years of experience working with individuals in school based, community/home based, as well as clinic based services.

Sarah's theoretical orientation draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, and humanistic apaproaches. She tailors treatment to best fit the individul while drawing on their natural strengths while working collaboratively towards their goals. When working with youth who have suffered trauma, Sarah utilizes Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to best help the individual overcome their symptoms related to their trauma.

Sarah is passionate about overall wellness and health. Prior to COVID, she was very active in her Crossfit gym and previously competed in Muay Thai kickboxing.
