P. Renee Shimek MS, Psychology Intern
I have been in both a master's level program and doctorate program. I had practicum experiences with the state hospital (in New Mexico), domestic violence program for victims, community mental health, and University counseling.
I work with individuals, couples, families, and group settings.
I conceptualize from an Integrative and Holistic approach and use many interventions from an Acceptance and Commitment therapy orientation.
I am working on a model of polarizing interactions from a scarcity and abundance context that I enjoy teaching and using in therapy. I also enjoy working on multicultural and diversity issues.
