Individual and Group counseling.
Rachel is an integrative relational counselor who utilizes a client-centered, solution-focused, motivational interviewing approach. She believes individuals naturally seek connection to their world through relationships and that disengagement from relationships is a cause of distress; healing comes from relationships which provide closeness and comfort. Rachel looks at what an individual is doing to limit closeness and prevent proximity in their own lives, by better understanding their style of interaction and choice in relationships. In addition, she believes that all people inherently have the strengths within themselves to solve the problems they are experiencing. Through finding exceptions to the problem, client strengths and hope for the future, change will be enacted.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, finding new recipes, walking/running, taking pictures of nature scenes, honing my zentangle skills, finding new podcasts, and spending time with my friends and family.
