Mike Carlip MSSEd, BCBA, LBA
Mike completed his undergraduate education at Bennington College in Bennington, VT, where he received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with a concentration in Theater Arts. He was a member of the New York City Teaching Fellows program, becoming a Special Education teacher in New York City Public Schools. He received his Master of Science in Special Education from The City College of New York. After a number of years with the New York City Public Schools, Mike moved to Florida and began his training in Applied Behavior Analysis with Collier County Public Schools(CCPS). Following course work with Florida Institute of Technology, Mike achieved his Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification. While with CCPS, Mike was the Director of Self-Contained Units for students with Emotional/Behavioral disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and an Intensive Behavior Unit.
In-Home, Intensive 1:1, Individual, Group, Community and Family treatment for those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders. Mike specializes in working with individuals with aggressive/intensive behavior.
Mike utilizes a variety of therapies, including Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior Approach. He uses evidence based treatments exclusively for communication, behavior and social interactions for children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders. Treatments include: Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Training (NET), Precision Training, Functional Communication Training (FCT) and social skills training.
