Martha Villegas-Gutierrez Ph.D.
Martha graduated from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. She did her internship at Dallas Independent School District, Dallas, Texas. Martha has previous experience as a Multicultural Specialist, as well as conducting bilingual/multicultural psychoeducational and mental health evaluations at Western Oregon University-The Teaching Research Institute, Education Evaluation Center from 2004 to 2014.
Psychoeducational Evaluations for School Age (6-18) and for College Age (18-30). Counseling for first generation college students (Latino/a (immigrant and first generation), social and emotional issues, acculturation and ethnic identity issues, anxiety, depression, Spanish speaking, Stress Management.
Integrative, including client centered, interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and multicultural frameworks.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking healthy meals, reading, meditation, walking, cycling, hiking, mind/body exercises including Yoga, Nia and Pilates.
