Education
Leanne's educational path includes receiving a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Multnomah University, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development degree from Warner Pacific College. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She has also completed rigorous EMDR training from an internationally recognized expert in the field. Committed to professional excellence, Leanne continues to expand her counseling and EMDR skills by regularly attending professional development, and specialized EMDR training courses.

Theoretical Orientation
Leanne's first priority is creating a safe environment in which her clients feel heard and respected. Then, she utilizes techniques to help clients manage their emotions, calm anxiety, process trauma, develop insight into their values and goals for life, develop healthy habits to elevate mood, set boundaries, effectively communicate with others, and practice self care. Methods include EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, trauma informed care, and person centered are those most frequently used.
