As a therapist I know that each client is an individual with unique strengths, resources and needs. The therapeutic relationship helps discover these unique attributes and works with them to help each person achieve his/her individual goals. The fundamental basis of my work is referred to as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which assumes that our thoughts and perceptions have great influence on our moods and behaviors. Once I have a clear understanding of the situation, I can make use of other effective treatment modalities when required.
My personal philosophy in life is most closely associated with balance. I am blessed and grateful to be working every day at something that I enjoy so much. I find that a rich personal life is what sustains my passion for the work I do. I am also passionate about family, friends, health and downtime. Running has become my meditation and serves to recharge my batteries. I also enjoy camping, traveling and sometimes just hanging out at home with family. My life is constantly evolving and I always keep room to allow for new opportunities.
