B.S in Psychology from Portland State University 2006. Master's of Social Work from Portland State University 2008. Licensed Clinical Social Worker April- 2011

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) completion for Basic EMDR training from EMDRIA, June, 2010.

2008-2010: Child and Family Therapist with Family Solutions in Vancouver WA. Individual and family therapy with emphasis on: Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Attachment Therapy, Parent-Child Relational Therapy. Group therapy with adolescent girls focused on building self esteem and enhancing social skills. 

2010- 2011: Bilingual Early Childhood Intensive Outpatient Therapist with Morrison Center. Emphasis on Parent-Child Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, CBT, Relational and Expressive Arts Therapy with children and families, DBT, and EMDR. Therapeutic services provided in home, community, and office settings in English and Spanish. Group therapy for Latino parents focusing on improving parenting strategies and building family relationships.

Services Offered

Individual, family, group therapy. Play therapy with children, parent-child relational therapy, EMDR with children, adolescence, and adults. 

Theoretical Orientation

My theoretical framework stems from Strength, Empowerment, and Psycho- Dynamic. I integrate a variety of techniques into the therapeutic process. Therapy is a collaborative and creative process that emphasizes ones internal resilience and innate ability to productively manage life's challenges. The therapeutic experience should encourage one to live a more satisfying and meaningful life. Therapy models include; Family Systems, Narrative restructuring, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment, Solution Focused. 

More Information

I try to spend my free time enjoying nature; hiking, biking, running, and walking my dog. I enjoy Bikram Yoga and reading books (especially on topics of spirituality and self improvement).
