Theoretical Orientation
Kari has worked in various healing capacities for the past twenty years. She believes the need to be safe, feel seen and heard, and bond with others is essential to healthy human growth and development. Understanding emotions that cause behavioral patterns encourages positive change and can lead to more peace and happiness. Her whole systems approach to therapy looks at the whole person: physical health, mental health, and relationship health.
More Information
Kari is passionate about Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Her work with couples is founded in EFT and other evidence-based attachment theories that have proven to help break the negative cycles couples often find themselves. Research shows these patterns are often a result of stuck communication, not because something is wrong with either person.
