Joy Oelfke LPC
Joy attended Western Seminary in Portland. Her past experience includes in-home parenting coaching and family therapy, trauma informed services to children, adolescents and adults, support with child welfare process and community resourcing.
Individual, family, group counseling for Children, Adolescents and Adults.
Joy supports children, adolescents and adults from a client-centered, existential and Jungian perspective, heavily influenced by Interpersonal Neurobiology. It is important to Joy that clients feel safe and connected as a foundation for a working relationship. She believes that a client's thoughts, feelings and experiences deserve a space to be heard and valued, without judgement or pressure. It is important to Joy that clients feel empowered to explore the complicated areas of life together. Joy may use talk, art, sand, body awareness and mindfulness.
I enjoy yoga, performing arts, international travel and reading mystery novels.
