Jill Henion LMFT
Education
I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Montana in 2003 and have been a licensed educator for 15 years now. My passion for helping children and their families inspired me to go back to school and work towards a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I received my degree from Capella University on 2015. Through my many years of teaching, I have worked with a variety of families and children with varying degrees of mental health issues. I am very excited to work with families and individuals on their path to mental wellness and stability.

Theoretical Orientation
I follow the Narrative Theory in my practice as I believe strongly in the power of the stories that we tell ourselves and the stories our families tell us. It is through the exploration of this story that we can find the path to health and well being. I also am strongly rooted in the Solution-Based Theory, as we can all solve our problems if we can open up to seeing how our strengths can guide us through. I believe every human to be worthwhile and of great value and it is an honor to help each one along in their healing journey. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, so I am trained to think in systems, and I focus my attention to how we are functioning within the systems where we exist. This has a great deal of impact on our functioning and self-worth.
