Jennifer Jost PMHNP BC
Jennifer graduated with high honors from Vanderbilt University with a Master's of Science in Nursing with the specialty as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Vanderbilt University is ranked first in the nation for their Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program. Jennifer's studies focused on trauma informed care, evidence based practice research, psychotherapy, and medication management. Jennifer has clinical experience in an outpatient based setting treating a variety of conditions with a popluation across the lifespan. Jennifer has been in the nursing field since 2014 focusing on psychiatric nursing. She has previously worked as a registered nurse, nursing house supervisor, and director of nursing. Prior to becoming a nurse Jennifer worked as a paramedic treating the critically ill and injured in a rural setting.
Jennifer is equipped with the application of evidence-based practice and adept at assessing each client within the context of their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual being. It is Jennifer's responsibility to provide safe, nurturing, & holistic care, while considering the individual's unique needs. Health is the opportunity to feel happiness and purpose in spite of a diagnosis. Jennifer is committed to advocating for her patients in a way that aligns with their belief systems and balances autonomy with ethics while promoting resilience.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her partner, their three dogs, family, and friends. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and hiking. Jennifer and her partner are relocating from Wisconsin and look forward to exploring the Pacific Northwest together!
