Jennifer Cotton PsyD
Jennifer obtained her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology (Argosy University). Her previous training includes college-counseling centers with an emphasis and supervision in the area of eating disorders, community mental health, and private practice clinics working with both children through adults.
Jennifer offers individual therapy for children, teenagers, & adults. Her areas of interest include trauma, anxiety & eating disorders. She also provides personality & cognitive psychological testing services.
Jennifer's approach to therapy is best described as integrative and collaborative with an emphasis in client-centered therapy. She acknowledges that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of treatment and work to foster a safe environment in which clients feel comfortable and at ease. She uses a mix of evidenced based practices including cognitive-behavioral, collaborative problem solving and interpersonal therapy. Client feedback is always incorporated in order to individualize treatment.
