Primarily practice from a Contextual orientation. Contextual Therapy incorporates a systemic conceptualization while maintaining perspective on individual psychology. Therapy includes considering personal development, systemic interactions, life circumstances, and relational stance with others. Goals are collaboratively formed to address the area(s) the client feels is/are most relevant to the change they desire.
Additional influences include Existentialism, Cognitive-Behavioral, Family Systems, Metaframeworks, and various Psychodynamic theories. Interventions are based on effectiveness and appropriateness for the individual need of the client.
I experience deepest contentment when spending time with family and friends, listening to music, engaging the outdoors, reading, and exploring new cultures.
