Emily Jackson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington who has been practicing since 2018. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University. Emily’s philosophy for therapy is collaborative and holistic. She feels therapy is a space where one can come to be fully seen, known, and accepted, but also challenged in a way that is a catalyst for growth and change to improve how they feel in relation to themselves, others, and life itself. To Emily, therapy requires a willingness to do the courageous and often difficult work to achieve change in regard to one’s particular suffering. She brings an eclectic view to therapy because all individuals are unique and can benefit from different therapeutic outlooks, however, mindfulness is one of the foundations of what she brings into the space. In her spare time, Emily enjoys her dog, traveling with her wife, going to the movies, reading, and watercolor painting.
