Education
Heather has a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University with advanced courses in human growth and development, group dynamics, major counseling theories, research methodology, professional orientation and ethics, social and cultural foundations, career counseling, behavior therapy, counseling and interviewing skills, and clinical assessment. Heather has diverse experience providing mental health services through both direct clinical care and program management, including clinical supervision and training. She has served clients in multiple program settings including Therapeutic School and Day Treatment Services, Inpatient Programs, Intensive Outpatient, and Therapeutic Foster Care. Heather has more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families, as well as adults facing various challenges of adjustment, loss, and transition.

Theoretical Orientation
Heather primarily employs a Cognitive Behavioral approach to treatment with a strength-based and solution-focused approach to individualized care. She maintains that all children and adolescents have the ability to develop into functioning adults with consistent support and positive modeling, and that supportive encouragement and accountability contribute to children, adolescents and adults leading healthier lives. Goals of treatment are collaboratively established with clients.
