Lissy's approach to therapy is integrative and collaborative, drawing from Attachment and Interpersonal Theories, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She believes that an understanding of the whole person, including important experiences and their impact on present functioning, is an important part of treatment. Further, she valuse collaboratively identifying aspects of one’s life that would benefit from making changes and how to best work towards those changes, while developing acceptance for areas that may not change. Lissy's person-centered, holistic approach includes recognizing important aspects of client’s identity and culture, as well as working collaboratively with my clients in identifying the areas to be addressed in therapy, and tailoring treatment for each person’s individual presentation and needs.
I enjoy yoga and meditation, hiking and backpacking, reading, and cooking.
