Dean Hall LMFT
Dean has been a therapist for over 25 years and in private practice for 20 of those years. He specializes in helping clients recover from trauma, anxiety and chronic pain, or health conditions like fibromyalgia and cancer. He is considered by many of his colleagues to be a clinical innovator, having created many programs, workshops, training seminars and audio CD's that relieve stress, assist in surgery preparation and put one's mind and body in an optimum state to heal. As well as being a highly sought-after speaker, Dean has published a book, a faith-based surgery preparation program, made several contributions to the field of neuroacoustics and written a weekly advice column, published by several papers in the U.S.
Individuals, groups, couples, parents and families in urgent and long-term struggles with trauma survival as well as grief, anxiety, depression, conflict and parenting issues.
Dean uses Cognitive Restructuring, Strategic, Brief and Systems Therapy, as well as Clinical Hypnotherapy and many well-researched mind/body strategies.
Dean loves to hike, bike, kayak, mountain climb, open-water swim, read, paint and laugh with his family and friends. He likes to inspire cancer patients to refuse to give up their dreams or drive, simply because they have received a diagnosis. Dean became the first person in history to swim the entire length of the Willamette River (184 miles) before he had fully recovered from two active forms of cancer himself. To accomplish this incredible feat, he swam 9-12 miles a day for 22 days in June of 2014.
