Cynthia Polance PsyD
PsyD - Clinical Psychology, Pacific University School of Professional Psychology Hillsboro, OR. PreDoctoral internship through the University of Minnesota Medical School, Dept. of Pediatrics. Postdoctoral fellowship through the University of Washington Autism Center. Licensed in Oregon.
I work as a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) at Willamette Falls Pediatric Group in Oregon City. As the BHC I support the WFPG providers in addressing patient issues related to behavioral health, including assessment, brief intervention (3-5 sessions), and psychological testing when medically necessary.
At the WPCS Tualatin office I provide psychological testing, primarily addressing ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Readiness Evaluations for transgender children and adolescents. I will investigate additional mental health questions at the direct request of other mental health providers I do not generally provide psychological testing beyond young adult age (early 20’s). I carry a very small caseload of therapy clients at the Tualatin office.
I provide empirically supported treatment that is grounded in behavioral theories, including mindfulness, components of Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I only work part-time at WPCS so that I can spend more time with my children. My wait-list for Autism testing is generally 3 months. For other testing it is about 2 months. This may vary a bit during the holidays and summer.
