Christine Frances LMFT, LPC, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist
Christine holds a Master Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota and has extensive training in play therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy and clinical hypnosis. She completed training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy in 2010 and has been certified by EMDRIA as an EMDR therapist since 2015. She utilizes the John Gottman Institute approach in relationship counseling as well as Sue Johnson's Emotional Focused Therapy techniques. She received her BA in Philosophy from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. She developed a program for families of adolescent sex offenders in a residential program. Additionally, her personal development has included work with energy medicine modalities and she is a Reiki Master.

Christine's psycho-therapy style is integrative and holistic, that is, she blends elements from different psychotherapeutic approaches and explores spiritual resources to address change and bring about increased well-being, based on a client's needs. She utilizes standard EMDR and associated EMDR approaches to address past trauma, as well as chronic anxiety and recurrent depression. Art and play therapy techniques, cognitive-behavioral interventions, mindfulness, psycho-dynamic therapy to explore relational interactions as well as a solution-focused approach are core components of her therapeutic approach. Christine enjoys gardening, hiking and camping and is an avid reader. She has studied piano for over ten years and is currently learning folk harp. She has twice been a peregrina to Santiago de Compostela and has volunteered as a hospitalera".
